Community Health Centers is seeking a per diem Call Center Agent to join the team! Responsible for performing various customer service and administrative tasks essential for managing call center volumes and ensuring a positive experience for patients and callers. Responsible for providing high-quality customer service to all in/outbound callers to CHC. Successful candidates need to be able to clearly communicate information to a wide variety of audiences.

General Responsibilities

  • Answers incoming telephone calls on call center line
  • Performs appointment maintenance (i.e., scheduling, re-scheduling, and canceling appointments) in accordance with CHC scheduling guidelines
  • Assisting Quality and Outreach with follow-up calls and scheduling for patients
  • Attends meetings as required and participates in the governance and improvement of Patient Services through the contribution of ideas
  • Provides quick and friendly customer service at all CHC sites
  • Releases prescriptions and other health information to CHC patients in accordance with CHC policies and procedures
  • Must be able to hear and speak clearly to communicate information to callers and staff

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Previous experience in a related field or medical office environment
  • Previous Customer Service experience

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • High-level customer service skills, including maintaining an even tone in the face of conflict.
  • Good computer skills, including accurate data entry, the ability to use Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, and Outlook), and electronic scheduling systems
  • Ability to convey detailed information clearly, ensuring others understand
  • Ability to give full attention to what others are saying, understand the points made, and ask appropriate clarifying questions
  • Ability to self-motivate, attend to and retain detail, and prioritize/re-prioritize with minimum supervision
  • Ability to handle a fast-paced and high-productivity environment
  • Willingness to cover satellite clinics and a variety of shifts as needed.

Licensure, Certification, or Other Requirements:

  • Vermont State Driver's License or the ability to obtain one.
