We're hiring an Capital Planning Analyst
The Capital Planning Analyst (CPA) is a support function for the Corteva Capital Planning organization and is responsible for data acquisition and coordination related to capital project spending forecasts, month-end cycles, and periodic requests for data.The Capital Planning Analyst (CPA) is a support function for the Corteva Capital Planning organization and is responsible for data acquisition and coordination related to capital project spending forecasts, month-end cycles, and periodic requests for data.
Responsabilities
Engaged in the development and implementation of the Corteva Capital Plan, including:
- Owns and maintains the Aggregate allocation tool and methodology
- Owns the corporate capital planning tool
- Maintains the capital planning work process
- Supports the implementation of the planning work process
Responsible for execution of capital-related monthly e-mail / reminder and communication processes
- Monthly forecast and actual update notifications to project and program managers
- Monthly and quarterly corporate capital reporting and summarization
Primary corporate contact for capital data, information, analysis, and reports across responsible site and product portfolios, including:
- Capital project spend
- Cost associated with capital spend
- Capitalized interest
Drives operational excellence in and enforces operational discipline of capital authorization and forecasting processes across the capital project portfolio
- Tracks and reports on capital projects staying within authorized budget
- Tracks and reports on timely closing and capitalization of capital assets
- Coaches teams to follow the standard Corteva process if they deviate
- Actively drives improved forecasting data quality in PPM or Corteva equivalent system
- Critically assesses processes and suggests / implements improvements to improve efficiency and results
Serve as subject matter expert on the corporate authorization and forecasting tools, processes, and requirements
- Collaborates with Instructional Systems Designer to deliver useful instructional materials and guidance to end users on related processes and application use
- Key contributors to the design and ongoing improvements of the application(s).
- Shepherds fast-track projects through authorization process when required
- Performs “on behalf of” authorizations when required
- Fields questions related to cost vs. capital decisions and applicable Sarbanes-Oxley policies
Subject matter experts in project accounting structure in ERP system and can extract relevant data and reports when required.

Qualifications
Qualifications
- BA in finance or accounting or BS degree in Engineering with an experience in Finance
- 2 yr prior experience with capital investments, programs, and projects
To Grow What Matters, You Will Need:
- Expert in Microsoft Excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations
- Above average capabilities in navigating and reporting in the SAP / ERP environment
- Prior experience with finance controllership concepts like Delegation of Authority (DoA) and Key Control Activities (KCAs)
- Understands and can interpret relevant finance policies impacting capital projects and investments
- Prior experience with Power BI and other dashboarding technologies is a plus
- Database query authoring skills are a plus
- Experience leading change management efforts and training people are a plus
