POSITION PURPOSE:

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Capital Raising Associate to join our firm. In this role, you will play a critical role in our fundraising efforts, cultivating relationships with institutional and high-net-worth investors to raise capital from limited partners looking to gain exposure to self-storage and mobile home park assets. You will work closely with the investment team and senior management to develop and implement a comprehensive capital raising strategy and effectively communicate our value proposition to prospective investors.

DISCLOSURE: This position is not remote; however, functions of the role can and will be performed remotely during travel. This position requires the desire and ability to travel (domestic and international) while maintaining effective communication with the home team.

CAPITAL RAISING ASSOCIATE COMPENSATION:

  • Base Salary will be determined by experience

CAPITAL RAISING ASSOCIATE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify potential investors and cultivate relationships with key decision-makers, including institutional investors, family offices, and HNW/UHNW investors
  • Deliver highly effective presentations that highlight track record, strategy, and value proposition to potential investors
  • Work with IR and Marketing team to develop pitch materials, investment memorandums, and coordinate internal and external events, including meetings, roadshows, conferences, industry events, and more
  • Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders including senior management, legal counsel, marketing and finance teams to ensure alignment and collaboration throughout the capital raising process
  • Attend various events to build relationships and promote CVC’s investment opportunities to generate investor interest
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive capital raising strategy to attract CVC’s target investor
  • Maintain an updated contact list to allow IR team to manage investor diligence and communications
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify potential investor trends, preferences, and furthering development of competitive positioning as well as stay up to date with industry trends and regulatory changes

CAPITAL RAISING ASSOCIATE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in marketing or sales that involve client relationship management and business development
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships within the investment community
  • Highly effective verbal and written communication to articulate investment strategies and engage with investors
  • Ability to deliver compelling presentations to investors or groups of investors in-person or via live webinar
  • The ideal candidate will have 5 years of capital raising, investor relations, fundraising, or related roles in the private equity industry
  • A bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics or related job experience
  • Existing network of potential investors and industry contacts
  • Experience and performance are preferred to educational background only
