Part time shifts available.

Paying up to $16.32 per hour, based on experience. This wage does not include shift differentials and other pay incentives.:

Job Summary:
Join our award-winning and friendly team! We're seeking a caring and compassionate individual who enjoys working with seniors and assisting them with their daily living activities. A Care assistant must be warm and approachable, with a strong work ethic, and a desire for providing residents with high quality customer service. They must thrive in a team environment but also be able to work independently.:

Responsibilities:
  • Assist clients with individual care tasks, such as washing, dressing, eating and toileting
  • Maintain excellent customer service skills at all times by providing courteous, prompt, and dependable service to both internal and external customers
  • Use positive and effective communications skills with all individuals
  • Observe, monitor and record clients' physical and emotional well-being, and promptly report any changes to Charge Nurse
  • Attend scheduled mandatory in-service meetings and attend staff meetings.
  • Follow facility Residents' Rights and all HCK policies
  • Maintain confidentiality of resident and facility information
  • Consistently work cooperatively with residents, nursing staff, physicians, families, consultants, agencies and ancillary service providers
  • Be responsible for the safety of residents
  • Observe infection control procedures
  • Responsible for assuring resident safety
  • Perform other duties as assigned:
Required Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 18 years of age or older
  • CPR certified (or within 6 months of hire)
  • Complete all on-line or in person mandatory in-services as required:

  • Organize, maintain, and complete records and reports accurately

  • Able to stay organized and plan out days, events and duties
  • Capable of using good judgment in assessing problem situations and when to involve supervisory staff, emergency services and law enforcement agencies when appropriate:
Essential Physical Functions:
  • Ability to function under stressful situations
  • Able to lift 25 pounds
  • Ability to tolerate walking
  • Good physical condition without limitations that would prohibit bending, lifting, squatting, and climbing stairs:
Experience:
  • Experience in a healthcare or homecare setting preferred but not required
  • Proven experience in working with elderly and memory impaired, in either a paid or voluntary capacity, is desirable::
