East Tennessee State University’s Center for Community Outreach – Career Coach position available. Counties that could be covered include Fayette, Lauderdale, Shelby, and Tipton Counties. – Level 7 Administrative – Position Contingent upon Grant Funding.

The successful applicant will serve as an employment readiness and retention specialist for Families First (TANF) clients. Essential job duties include: case managing clients,
determining barriers to employment, assisting clients in removing those barriers and applying the Two-Generation Approach to clients and their families, lead classes in job readiness and life skills, enter all client data, other duties, as assigned.
The successful applicant must be capable of working with people having a wide range of abilities and competencies. The successful applicant(s) must be willing to cover other counties in the event of the absence of a Career Coach in another county. Additionally, successful applicants may be assigned to more than one county.

Salary: $42,010.00

Data entry required
Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or three -3 - years experience in a social service/social science-related field.

Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and WordPreferred QualificationsKnowledge of Tennessee Department of Human Services ACCENT Database.

All annual leave hours must be used prior to termination of the grant or upon exiting the university. No annual leave hours will be paid out.
