WHAT IT'S LIKE TO BE A CAREER DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST

If you are passionate about helping individuals achieve their employment goals and have experience in case management services, then we have the perfect opportunity for you! As a Career Development Specialist at our nonprofit, you work with a caseload of individuals receiving TANF benefits, providing them with exemplary employment-focused case management services. You establish trust and rapport with program participants and conduct comprehensive intakes to identify their needs, strengths, interests, aptitudes, experience, and capabilities. You partner with them to jointly develop a Family Contract Amendment (FCA) that outlines their short-term and long-term employment and other goals.

What's exciting about this position is that you work with a diverse caseload, including those considered "job-ready" and those with medical barriers. You maintain regular contact with them, document their progress, and provide ongoing orientation to ensure they are clear on their TANF and program requirements.

Additionally, you build effective partnerships with external providers to ensure participants have access to and utilize needed services and supports.
