• 
  Consistently operates zone of forming machines at or above standard levels considering waste, efficiency and utilization.
• Performs machine trouble shooting and makes adjustments or repairs to ensure that the quality of the cartons meets specifications and that the machines operate properly.
• Provide training for new operators.
• Assists in developing innovative solutions to match machine tooling and other mechanisms to product design.
• Conducts periodic quality checks. Takes corrective action to fix defects identified.
• Performs complex make readies and changeovers.
• Performs daily and weekly machine maintenance.
• Communicates with the operator from the previous and following shifts to review any problems experienced on the machines throughout the department.
• Communicates with supervisor to determine priorities for the day and identify any change overs or other special directions related to the department.
• Communicates production information to crew members.
• Performs purge procedures when changing to a new product and completes the required checklists.
• Completes appropriate end of shift paperwork, accounting for crewing time, machine time, and production quantities.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
• Performs other related duties to contribute to the success of the operation as assigned by supervision.

• Ability to perform simple calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division) and applies mathematical reasoning.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively with little to no supervision.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to be detail oriented.
• Participates in routine BBS/PBS activates as required.
• Positive work attitude and willingness to cooperate..
• Required to climb, stoop, bend and reach with hands and arms
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.

  Employee must be in current job for at least 6 months before being promoted or transferred.
• Employee must have a good attendance record – 5 occurrences or less at time of bid.
• As with any position, an employee may be assigned to any shift as business needs dictate. The ability to work any shift as needed is required.
