Pine Haven is a private, non-profit, non-sectarian, intensive residential facility
that cares for boys with behavioral, educational or emotional challenges. Established in 1963, Pine Haven is located on 100 acres in Allenstown, NH and welcomes boys ages 6 to 15.

Job Description:

The Case Worker provides support, services, and commitment to serving children in their relationship with their families, who are valued as equal, respected and active partners. Occasional evening and some weekend hours may be needed, depending on the needs of the families.

Duties:
- Handling case-loads of up to 10 clients

- Be aware of and comply with the requirements of confidentiality

- Conduct family interviews and complete written assessments of each home and family, when needed

- Develop goals for the child's treatment plan, with the family and treatment team

- Provide therapeutic supervision during family/sibling visits, when needed

- Represent Pine Haven at placement reviews and court hearings

- Participate in training activities, workshops, and seminars

- Implement a Family Treatment Plan which includes: weekly personal contact with families, primarily in their homes (or communities), providing supportive counseling; teaching problem solving, conflict resolution and parenting skills; and providing assistance to help them make full use of available services

- Implement Transition and Aftercare Plans, for at least the first 30 days after discharge

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work preferred or a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field with an emphasis in Human Services

A valid NH driver’s license and ability to drive Pine Haven’s vehicles required.

Verbal techniques necessary to de-escalate a crisis situation and the physical ability to control aggressive, violent behavior in a therapeutic, safe way.

Must be able to become certified in Crisis Prevention Intervention, First Aid and CPR.

Must be 21 years of age.
