Assists with handling all banquet events. They plan events and oversee all the details from the planning to the execution stage. Will work with various departments to ensure the event is carried out accordingly. This includes meeting with prospective customers, planning, scheduling, and direction of banquet staff .

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Ability to communicate professionally with clients and hospital administration staff.
  • Make sure all catering activities and services are provided in a high quality, consistent, and cost-effective manner.
  • Responds to the needs of SCAHC Departments and Clients in a timely manner.
  • Works with SCAHC Catering Team to, develop, and implement new catering menus, brochures, and flyers.
  • Oversight of the SCAHC Catering menu input, client database and invoicing.
  • Organize and coordinates an event timeline, ensuring that the service runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • Serves all foods within the HACCP compliance specifications for hot and cold foods.
  • Follow ups on all catering’s to gain feedback for the Manager and Catering Team.
  • Responsible for ensuring catering orders are processed and on time for the events.
  • Responsible for maintaining catering storage areas in a clean, neat, organized manner.
  • Plans and/or participates in planning menus, signage and set ups.
  • Delivery of services based on client expectation.
  • Managing Department Schedule and Catering Schedule Staffing.
  • Works with Manager to assist in Monthly Reporting.
  • Actively supports and participates in performance improvement activities.
  • May assist coworkers during staffing shortages.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Three (3) years of work experience in Catering.
  • Food Workers Card or ServSafe Certification preferred, and must be obtained upon hire
  • Current and valid Driver’s License
