Then the Hugo’s Central Bakery is the place for you! Hugo's Family Marketplace has immediate openings in our Central Bakery, located in North Grand Forks. Full and part time positions available with flexible scheduling, no overnights.

For all positions, we will train the right person. Great pay and benefits (for full time) and a wonderful team of associates to work with.


Central Bakery Job Classifications

Production Manager:
The production manager oversees the complete operation of the central bakery. They are responsible for production, ordering, scheduling, gross profit and sanitation of the central bakery


Assistant Production Manager:
This person is responsible for helping the production manager perform their daily duties. They are also responsible for general operations when the production manager is not working. Along with those responsibilities, they are also part of the production team.


Pastry Co-ordinator:
The Pastry coordinator is responsible for the production on all non yeast products including pies, cookies, bars, crisps and any other related products.



Full Time Baker:
This person is responsible for all aspects of the bakery production. They must be trained in all areas of the bakery including mixing, operation of all equipment on production floor and oven work. They are also responsible for cleaning their work area at the end of their shift



Bakers Helper (Apprentice):
The bakers helper (Apprentice) is designed to potentially train a person to become a full time baker. They are to be trained in all the areas of the bakery. Their main function will be in production.


Fry Line Manager:

The fry line manager oversees the donut production and the final cleaning of the bakery. They are responsible for the frying, frosting and packaging of all the donut related products. They are also responsible for the dispensing of all donut products to the 8 Hugo's stores.



Fry Line Help:
The fry line help will work the donut line doing all aspects of the job. This may include frying, panning, frosting and packaging the donut products.



Packaging Lead:
The packaging lead is responsible for all the packaging of all products. They supervise the packaging crew and oversee the order filling for all the Hugos stores. They are also responsible for the cleaning of their area at the end of the shift.


Packers:
The packer is responsible for packaging all the bread and bun related products in the bakery. They report to the packaging lead and are also responsible for the cleaning at the end of their shift
