Greet and assist all visitors entering central office; answer phones and direct communications to the various central office departments; perform a variety of bookkeeping and clerical functions in support of the Business office operations, including but not limited to: data entry, accounts payable/receivable, food service financial recordkeeping, and report generation, coordination of reduced/free lunch program, assisting callers and visitors and providing backup for other office support positions as needed to best serve the needs of the school district. Food Service Bookkeeping Prepare reports regarding free and reduced lunch participation data and other reports as neededPrepare cafeteria warrants for School Committees to approve expendituresSubmit requests to the State of MA for reimbursement of free and reduced lunch programRespond to inquiries regarding free and reduced lunch program Maintain all related records on food service sales for submission to district administrators, government entities, to be in accordance with USDA and other regulationsAssist with the verification of free and reduced price meal applications, enter application information into the food service database (TITAN), track student transfers and withdrawals from the District, and maintain database Attend monthly cafeteria managers meetingsCoordinate the collection of monies due for student lunches and make contact to reconcile outstanding balancesProvide information as needed for periodic audits Reconcile on a monthly basis all inventory, receivables and liabilities to the food service database General Accounting and Office Support: Serve as the front desk receptionist and greet visitors, students, parents and the public Receive incoming telephone calls and direct them to the appropriate staff memberProvide information regarding basic district policies and procedures and other routine inquiriesAssist other Business office personnel as may be required to provide support in the completion of work activities Perform other related duties as assignedMaintain spreadsheets for tracking various operational expensesCollect and distribute mail
