CERTIFIED MEDICAL ASSISTANT II: CANDLER HEALTH CENTER

We are looking for a full-time Medical Assistant II for our new Candler Health Center location.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform clinical duties under the direction of a physician, nurse practitioner, or registered nurse
- Perform phlebotomy, and process specimens for patients of all ages
- Set up medical examination rooms, prepare and administer medications and vaccines
- Obtain vital signs and patient information
- Obtain EKG’s, assist with wound care and minor surgical procedures e.g., removal of benign cyst
- Serve as a preceptor for new staff
- Assist in administrative duties as needed, including handling calls
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
- Current certification as a Medical Assistant (required)
- One (1) year as medical assistant in an outpatient health care setting
- Extensive phlebotomy experience
- Postsecondary technical course (‘s) helpful, but not required
- Medical Assisting education strongly preferred
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office programs
