We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for a GI Clinic to join our team of healthcare professionals. The CRNA will be responsible for administering anesthesia to patients and monitoring their vital signs during surgery, as well as providing post-operative care. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively under pressure, have excellent communication and organizational skills, and be committed to providing the highest level of patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administering anesthesia to patients before and during surgery, and monitoring their vital signs.
- Assessing and managing patient pain levels during and after surgery.
- Collaborating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to develop an anesthesia plan for each patient.
- Maintaining accurate and complete patient records and documenting all anesthesia-related activities.
- Ensuring that all equipment is properly maintained and functioning.
- Participating in continuing education and professional development activities to stay current with the latest advances in anesthesia practice.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia educational program.
- Current certification as a Registered Nurse Anesthetist.
- State licensure as a CRNA.
- Strong knowledge of anesthesia principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to providing the highest level of patient care.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to operate medical equipment and perform procedures requiring manual dexterity.
Working Conditions:
- Work is performed in a surgical setting, which may involve exposure to infectious diseases and hazardous materials.
- May require being on call for emergency situations.
