All About You
The Chemical Engineer will provide chemical equipment design and engineering support to allow the organization to accomplish its production objectives & goals. The Chemical Engineer will work within a team of skilled technicians and engineers to continuously improve and enable chemical plant manufacturing operations to achieve production objectives. The Chemical Engineer will lead chemical plant operations optimization projects completed on time as well as initiate and manage capital projects from $3k - $250k. This work has to be done in compliance with ISO 9000, AS9100B, EPD, OSHA, Federal, State, and Local standards and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Will design and implement reliable, efficient, user and maintenance friendly control systems for chemical plant operations to meet the requirements of production operations and all OSHA general industry safety rules
- Will build, develop, and maintain a comprehensive OEE database for all critical chemical plant manufacturing equipment to include coaters, reactors, mixers, Electrolytic cleaning, coining, sintering and passivation
- Will perform system integration – including debugging and troubleshooting as well as parts selection, data analysis, and schematic capture for control and power electronics
- Will assist in direction of maintenance technicians and ensure that they have the appropriate tools, skills, and training
- Will fully document all projects and equipment as required to maintain in proper functioning condition
- Will plan for and manage capital and expense related projects to ensure that all projects remain within allocated budgets
- Will maintain optimal equipment efficiency to stay within process specifications established by Quality and Cell Engineering
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemical Engineering
- 5+ years experience in design, repair, troubleshooting Chemical Process equipment
- Knowledge of TPM, 5S, 6-Sigma, FMEA, RCM
