The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for all the functions related to the financial operations of a hospital. Directs and coordinates general accounting, patient business services, data processing, admission, medical records, purchasing, facilities and statistical reporting. The CFO gathers and analyzes all the financial data and information to make sure the hospital is operating within budget and to determine how to allocate funds to various areas. They create detailed reports of their findings and must explain to department heads and hospital board of directors why these financial decisions are being made. The CFO is a member of the senior leadership team of the hospital and as auditor for the District.
Directs and coordinates district, hospital activities concerned with the financial administration, general accounting, patient business services, data processing, admission, medical records, health care review, resident activities, and statistical reporting.
Devises and installs new or modified accounting systems to provide complete and accurate records of assets, liabilities, and financial transactions. Evaluates accounting methods for ensuring timely receipt of payments on patient accounts and reducing costs of accounting operations
Responsible for preparation of cost reimbursement reports and other surveys as requested by government or other third-party agencies.
Prepares or directs subordinates in the preparation of the annual budget based on prior year, current year, and budget year anticipated expenditures and revenues.
Directs compilation of data and preparation of financial operating reports for planning and preparation of financial operating reports for planning effective administration of district activities by management.
Prepares detailed analysis of expenditures, and capital asset values from previous periods. Makes recommendation to Administration concerning means of reducing District operating costs and increasing revenues, based on knowledge of market trends, financial reports, and industry operating procedures.

Experience Required:
Bachelor's degree in Financial Accounting, Business Administration or related field. Minimum of three years of experience as a Chief Financial Officer in a healthcare setting, preferably in a critical access hospital. At least 5 years of experience overseeing the Business Office functions to ensure cash collection goals are met, and net revenue is properly stated.

Pay: $140,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
