CHILDREN’S MINISTRY LOCATION COORDINATOR
Job Classification: Part-time, 28 hours; Ministerial Exception Date: September 2022

SUMMARY
Own the alignment and execution of the Ministry Purpose and Plan (MPP) for Hill Country Children at your location,
under the direction of the Hill Country Children’s Director and in collaboration with the “One Church” Hill Country
Children’s Leadership Team.

OUTCOMES AND RESULTS – SUCCESS IN THIS POSITION WILL RESULT IN:
1. Children in our church and community are coming to know and follow Jesus and developing a strong foundation for

a lifetime of passionately pursuing Him. Parents and families are experiencing partnership, support, and resourcing
as they live out their calling to be the primary disciple-makers of their children.

2. A highly relational and missionally-minded leadership triad is:
a. Collaborating and engaging with the One Church Children’s Ministry Leadership Team to lead and align

ministry at their location to the CM Ministry Plan and Purpose
b. Teams are actively recruiting, leading, and investing in other high-level leaders, class leaders, and servant

leaders at your location - living out an Eph. 4:11-13 model of ministry
c. Prioritizing the CM values of: Faith, Family, and Fun

3. The CM teams at your location are thriving as they embrace our Multi-site Purpose to “multiply the impact of our Hill
Country mission, vision, and values by strategically placing unified locations throughout greater Austin.”


MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES:
1. Understand, engage and own the Ministry Plan and Purpose (MPP) for Children’s Ministry
2. Serve as a partner and peer with key servant leaders known as One Church Team Location Leaders to provide an

effective leadership triad for your location that will evaluate and operate with One Church standards and model the
CM values of Faith, Family, and Fun

3. Continuously envision, align, lead, support and empower the Location Leaders and other leaders to recruit, envision,
and invest in leaders from the congregation and community – helping people take next steps in ministry
engagement for kingdom impact

4. Function as the week to week and day to day communication liaison with the overall CM team, attending Hill
Country staff gatherings & equipping, CM staff meetings, and facilitating utilization of central Specialist teams
(curriculum, welcome, worship and large group, childcare, and administration)

5. Personally own the mission and vision of Hill Country; commit to live out Church Goals:
a. Fully Formed Followers (make disciples who make disciples)
b. Gospel Saturation (personal evangelism/intentional passion and life-patterns for sharing the gospel)
c. Leadership Development (identify, equip, empower and unleash servant leaders)

6. Continuously model and invest in relationship building, “next stepping,” and ministry engagement
7. Serve as a liaison to connect people at your location with the Central Specialist Team.
8. Communicate with other departments such as Facilities, Security, Communication, & Production in a timely manner

about ministry needs.
9. Lead and Participate in CM milestone events and other activities.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
1. Substantial training and/or experience in Children’s Ministry; passion for children, families, and their spiritual growth
2. Proven ability to recruit, train, and develop people in the context of the local church
3. Sees themselves as an owner of the mission, vision, values, and pathway of Hill Country
4. Theologically aligns with the core beliefs of Hill Country and becomes a church member within 3 months of hire
5. Mature follower of Jesus Christ, able to shepherd, disciple, and spiritually pour into others
6. Ability to lift and carry 20lbs, physically set up tables and chairs, and accomplish related location-specific operational

needs for Children’s Ministry; available to work Sundays, occasional evenings, and religious holidays
