Imperial Trading Company is a 100 year old Grocery Distribution Company that is seeking well motivated, Class A CDL Drivers in the Shreveport / Bossier City, LA area who are interested in a position that will provide a mixture of regional truck driving activities along with frequent personal interaction with the public. Our drivers enjoy a salary that is very competitive within the industry and a work schedule that provides more time at home with family. You will be at home at least 3 nights every week and you will be off at home on weekends.

Essential Duties and Requirements

• Accurately delivering product to stores in a timely manner.
• Providing customer service to our customers by maintaining a courteous, friendly and professional attitude at all times.
• Reporting any customer issues to a supervisor so that it can be resolved quickly.
• Safe operation of class A CMV's in accordance within all federal DOT regulations on a daily basis.
• Inspecting equipment to ensure safety and reporting any issues to a supervisor immediately.

Additional Job Details -

ONE and two day routes with motel room and per diem provided when gone overnight. Home nights in between layovers and weekends off!

Must have the ability to pass a pre-employment DOT Drug Screen, DOT physical and background check.

Skills & qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Knowledge of DOT regulations.
• Must possess good people skills and the ability to work well with others.
• Must be in good physical condition, with the ability to bend easily, lift and carry boxes up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to read, write and understand invoices in English.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to add and subtract using the decimal system.
• Ability to use time management and deal well with priorities.

Education and Experience

• High School Education or Equivalent
• Must be 21 years of age
• Possess a valid, Class A CDL
• Clean Driving record with no DWI, DUI or reckless driving citations within the past 7 years.
• No more than one moving violation with the last 3 years.
• DSD delivery experience a plus!
