We are now hiring for a full-time Program Aide to join our DuPage Early Childhood Education Team in Addison!

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Establishes positive relationships with children and other staff in his/her assigned classroom.
  • Helps carry out daily program by assisting Teacher and Teacher Assistant as needed, including interactive supervision of children during indoor and outdoor activities.
  • Assist Teacher and Teacher Assistant guide children in achieving individual goals and assess children’s individual strengths and needs.
  • Assists in maintaining a safe and clean environment at all times.
  • Provides food preparation and food storage using approved sanitation methods.
  • Ensures appropriate child guidance and discipline, proper ratios, and use of active supervision.
  • Assists in ongoing CLASS implementation.
  • Responsible for the implementation of the program’s Planned Language Approach, which is specifically designed to support dual language learners.
  • Participates in a team approach to planning and implementing program activities. Collaborates with Family Support Workers, Teacher, site partners, and site supervisor for the betterment of the classroom and families.
  • Participates in child care and classroom-related activities during parent meetings/workshops.
  • Provides delivery of food to tables.
  • Provides clean up and storage of serving area and food service equipment using approved sanitation methods.
  • Attends all meetings, trainings, and pre-service.
  • Meets all timelines and reporting requirements.
  • Ensures that the usage of agency technology, equipment and time are utilized for agency business.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Ability to carry out some physical duties, such as lifting and carrying.
  • Clean up food service equipment and storage area using approved sanitation methods.
  • Assists in classroom activities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Employment with MFS requires proof of vaccination or an approved Medical exemption, required.
  • Ability to effectively work with diverse individuals and groups.
  • Sensitivity to and respect for the needs of children and families, including those with disabilities.
  • Ability to carry out some physical activities such as lifting and carrying.
  • Working knowledge of computers.
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • MFS staff are required to provide proof of vaccination or have an approved Medical exemption prior to starting employment. If an approved Medical is obtained, weekly testing is required

SALARY:

  • Compensation is commensurate with years of related experience, position requirements, and candidate qualifications. The average salary for the position is $27,000 per year.
