Clerk I, Warehouse Job at Lewis Energy Group
Overview:
Summary:
Maintains the organization's warehouse and inventories. Coordinates receipt, shipment, storage, distribution or delivery of products, parts and materials within the organization. Contributes to all facets of the inventory handling process.
Responsibilities:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receives inbound material from outside suppliers and field locations.
- Loads, unloads, moves and stocks received material.
- Picks materials, components and end products and delivers them to requesting departments.
- Maintains a clean and orderly warehouse.
- Informs supervisor of inventory levels and product requirements.
- Sorts and stores materials or items according to a predetermined sequence.
- Maintains and manages stock levels within the warehouse.
- Preforms cycle counts according to a predetermined schedule and reconciles differences.
- Assists in locating items and issuing materials.
- Processes inbound materials.
- Assists in purchasing as needed.
- Assists in the housekeeping duties.
Qualifications:
Education
Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
Experience
Minimum 1 year related experience.
General knowledge of warehouse procedures preferred.
Other Requirements
Class C commercial driver license with no restrictions.
Motor vehicle record (MVR) reflecting no convictions for recurring or serious violations or accidents.
Basic computer skills.
Physical Demands
Frequently required to stand; walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. Regularly required to lift and/or move up to 70 pounds. Occasionally required to sit. Requires close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
Regularly exposed to outside weather conditions; moving mechanical parts and vibration.
