SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Procurement Director, the Resource Procurement Specialist (RSP) is responsible for managing, coordinating, and distributing client’s supplies and resources across the agency. They are also responsible for the management of in-kind donations and work with program staff to find and direct the resources they need for their programs & clients. In addition, they manage and distribute PPE for the programs ensuring they have supplies needed for the staff & clients.
We are looking for a friendly, personable person with a sense of humor and responsibility to join our team and provide excellent customer service to our staff, clients and in-kind supporters.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Working with the programs to ensure that clients have the necessary supplies they need
- Coordinate Shelter Partnership orders across all agency programs
- Maintain up-to-date roster of all internal resources available to clients across the agency
- Work in concert with Procurement Specialist to promote awareness of these resources across the agency
- Coordinate inventory of goods received via in-kind donation and fulfill “orders” placed by programs across the agency
- Maintain client supply “wishlist” and coordinates procurement with Development and/or Procurement Department
- Receive, record, and acknowledge donations. Prepare tax receipts when required. Work with staff to identify needs for in-kind donations.
- Purchase and report client supply orders as directed via client supply budgets or donor-designated funds.
- Oversees onsite in-kind donations and ensures they are distributed to the appropriate program/department
- Assist with loading and unloading donations and/or supplies when needed
- Interacts face-to-face with partners, vendors, staff, donation drive organizers and donors
- Maintain a high level of integrity, camaraderie, and professional relationships with staff across the agency
- Maintain congenial relationships with donors in coordination with Development Department staff
- Provides general support to the Procurement Department
- Serves as a liaison to Development Department
- Perform other duties and projects assigned by the Director
Qualifications

- High school diploma required, bachelor’s degree preferred
- Non-profit development experience preferred
- In-Kind Donation Management experience preferred
- Must possess a valid California Driver’s License and be able to operate a vehicle for donation pick up and drop offs
- Detail oriented, self-motivated and team player with excellent communication skills
- Strong verbal, writing, and computer skills
- Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on a continuous or intermittent basis
- Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as boxes, bags, and reach overhead.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Work Environment
- Combination of field and office environment
- Regularly required to sit, stand, bend; occasionally lift or carry up to 35 lbs.
- On occasion walk or drive to different local sites
- Will necessitate working in busy and loud environments
- Will be exposed to elements like cold, heat, dust, noise and odor
- May need to bend, stoop, twist, and sit throughout the day

Pay: $38,000.00 - $46,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
