Schedule:
Monday - Thursday; 10:00 pm - 6:00 am and Friday 11:30 pm - 7:30 am (5x8 schedule)
Location: Spokane Valley, WA

Summary
: The Clinical Laboratory Accessioner is responsible for entering patient and specimen information into computer system and will prepare laboratory specimens for designated locations prior to laboratory analysis and testing and will be cross-trained in other departments, as appropriate

Responsibilities:
  • Process and accession laboratory specimens
  • Perform Send Outs
  • Data entry
  • Scan requisition images
  • Perform QA
  • Perform maintenance and daily operational tasks
  • Provide support services for other departments, clients, and pathologists
  • Employee Responsibilities as described in MediaLab Document Control
  • Perform duties as assigned, including cross-training in other departments

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Accurate typing and ten-key skills (assessment test required- prior to interview)
  • Competency with computers and MS Office programs
  • Previous data entry experience preferred / detail oriented
  • Laboratory experience along with medical terminology knowledge preferred
  • Ability to maintain accuracy, especially with numeric sequencing
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Adhere to HIPAA patient confidentiality standards
  • Other duties as assigned, including cross-training in other departments
