Position Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates expertise necessary to function as a role model for staff.
  • Fosters teamwork and builds mutual understanding, respect and confidence among personnel and between departments.
  • Uses a systematic problem-solving process to make sound decisions in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for integrating the department/service into the organization's primary functions using effective leadership skills.
  • Demonstrates commitment toward professional growth through development of skills and knowledge. Develops and implements policies and procedures for care, treatment and services in accordance with regulatory bodies.
  • Responsible for organizing, directing and staffing the department/service in a manner commensurate with the scope of services offered.
  • Collects and interprets data to monitor the departments performance and improve processes and when applicable evaluates the outcomes related to the use of clinical practice guidelines.
  • Demonstrates the ability to create, initiate, and integrate new concepts and practices to improve customer service.
  • Maintains a high level of employee satisfaction.
  • Sets expectations, plans and manages processes to measure, assure and improve the hospitals governance, management, clinical and support activities.
  • Provides for orientation, initial job training and continuing education of all persons in the department.

Qualification:

Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida is required.

BLS and ACLS required.

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing, BSN required. MSN preferred.

Nursing leadership experience.
