Occ Summary
Independently plan and provide professional nurs ingcare for patients inaccordance with physician orders and established policies andprocedures. Provide nursing services to patients and familie sinaccordance with the scope of the RN as defined by the North CarolinaB oard of Nursing.Nurses hired into this limited benefited classification will commit towork a minimum number of hours in a designated inpatient nursingdepartment. Compensation is a flat rate that is based on years ofe xperience.
Work Performed
Plan, provide, supervise an ddocument professional nursing careutilizing the nursing process for pat ients in accordance with physicianorders and established policies and pr ocedures. Use professional nursingjudgment to individualize the plan ofc are based on assessment of thepatient's baseline needs and response toca re.Delegate tasks and supervise the activities of other licensed andunli censed care providers.Assist other nursing personnel in the delivery of nursing care and actas team leader or charge nurse for a group of patien ts or an entire unitas assigned.Monitor andinitiate corrective actionto maintain the environment ofcare including equipment and material resour ces.Participate in own professional development by maintaining requiredc ompetencies, identifying learning needs and seeking appropriateassistanc e or educational offerings.Act as preceptor and support the development of other staff and formallearners.Participate in the identification of c linical or operational performanceimprovement opportunities and in perfo rmance improvement activities.Perform other related duties incidentalto the work described herein.

Minimum Qualifications
Education
Work requires graduation from an accredited BSN or Associate's Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma program. All registered nurses without a Bachelor's degree in Nursing (or higher) will be required to enroll in an appropriate BSN program within two years of their start date and to complete the program within five years of their start date.
Experience
2 years of appropriate clinical experience required
Degrees, Licensures, Certifications
Must have current or compact RN licensure in the state of North Carolina. BLS required.
