The Clinical Compliance Supervisor works in conjunction with the clinical team to ensure that administrative tasks are accomplished in accordance with DOH regulations and agency policies/standards. As the Compliance Specialist, you will be responsible for the ongoing review of all documentation that supports the proper conduct of clinical trials for industry sponsors and/or sites in the network. These tasks aid in ensuring compliance and preparing for auditing activities. This position will work closely with the Clinical Operations and Clinical Billing Teams.

As a Clinical Informaticist, you will work with patient data and computer systems. You will act as a point of communication between the PHC clinics and IT staff. Daily responsibilities are comprised of overseeing clinical projects, working closely with the Senior Clinical Analyst of our EHR and billing applications. The need to serve as a subject matter expert in the field of clinical systems and provide training for clinical staff.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Regional Compliance Supervisor – Clinic (RCS) will report directly to the Director of Compliance & Ethics and will provide PHC Article 16 and 28 clinics with ongoing compliance support.
  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations as they relate to the documentation and billing of clinic services provided.
  • Organize and perform general upkeep of folders containing internal and external documentation on clinical compliance projects, investigations, internal audits, corrective action plans, policies, applicable standards, and all other compliance-related documents applicable to the Clinical Department.
  • Completion of compliance incident reports and investigations for clinics.
  • Effectively present information and respond to questions both from internal and external sources.
  • Analyze and interpret government standards, laws and regulations.
  • Assist PHC management with development of compliance related policies and procedures.
  • Assist with General Compliance Training, documentation, communications and implementation as needed.
  • Develop and update compliance training materials.
  • Develop tools and checklists for reviews and compliance audits performed for the clinic.
  • Works in collaboration with other departments.
  • Perform general Compliance audits of article 16 and 28 clinics
  • Produce written reports of audits conducted.
  • Attend IAC clinic meetings.
  • Participate in external audits of the clinic.
Supports the Premier clinic with a variety of initiatives:
  • Collaborate and work weekly with PHC’s clinical team to review compliance with all PHC initiatives which include the following: MACRA, MIPS, PCMH, Meaningful Use; HEDIS.
  • Conduct weekly meetings with the Director of Nursing, Medical director and Nextgen staff to identify gaps in reporting, review metrics and data and determine if additional reports are needed.
  • Confirm all PCMH requirements are being met and PHC is PCMH audit ready.
  • Collaboratively work with the PHC team to ensure quarterly and annual certifications are being made.
  • Participate in monthly PCMH QI meetings.
  • Work with fiscal to ensure all metrics are available in order to bill initiative payments and all providers that meet criteria are being captured for payment.
Requirements:
  • 3 years’ experience in clinical compliance preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree.
  • Management experience, Provider Initiatives preferred (e.g., PCMH, MACRA, etc.).
  • 1-year ID/DD or related social service experience preferred.
  • CHC certification or equivalent is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong commitment and passion for the organization’s mission.
  • Unquestionable ethics and integrity and high emotional intelligence.
  • Complete ability to maintain the confidentially and security of sensitive information and files.
  • Functional and technical skills.
  • Knowledge of OPWDD and YAI’s rules and regulations a plus.
  • Great use of time management.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to the varied neighborhoods of New York City and New York State that YAI clinics service.
  • Driver’s license preferred.
Salary: $80,000
