A typical day for a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) includes:

· Transferring and positioning residents, using proper lifting techniques and equipment

· Performing routine duties to meet residents’ personal care needs; personal grooming, bathing, feeding, oral care, incontinent care, making beds, etc

· Taking and recording vital signs; reporting unusual readings to supervisor

· Responding to signals from the Nurse call system to determine resident’s needs

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Requirements:

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Valid CNA certification

· Prior experience preferred
