CNC Machine Operator – 1st Shift

Monday – Friday 6:00am – 2:30pm

Starting Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour

What you’ll need:

• At least 4 years of work-related skill, knowledge, or experience is required
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Technical training and certificates, preferred

ADDITIONAL COMPANY PROVIDED TRAINING

What you’ll be doing:

• Produces machined parts by setting up, and operating a CNC machine and manual mill and lathe machines; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies, under the direct supervision of the Lead or Supervisor.
• Read work orders or production schedules to determine specifications, such as part number, type of work and number of parts to run.
• Set up mills and lathes by installing, adjusting and aligning, using secure holding fixtures like three and four jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, and stock pushers; indicating vices; tramming heads.
• Verifies settings by measuring positions; calculating dimensions or tolerances, using instruments such as micrometers or vernier calipers; first-run part and sample workpieces; adhering to international standards.
• Make adjustments to the machine to control speed, material feed and path of the cut, as well as make sure the machines are set up properly, working well, and producing quality product.
• Other duties as assigned.
