General Summary: Self-Driving vehicles are going back to school for the upcoming semester starting this August. Join the COAST team to introduce COAST’s self-driving shuttles to the UCF community. COAST is a self-driving vehicle technology company with “best-in-class” software focused on providing autonomous vehicle solutions for first and last-mile mobility in city centers, campuses, and other environments by adapting vehicle speed to be user friendly for passengers as well as pedestrians, drivers, and other road users.

As a COAST Ambassador, you will learn about this cutting-edge technology and be part of the award-winning team that invented the world’s first commercially available autonomous shuttle. COAST Ambassadors will be the face of this exciting new initiative on the UCF and educate passengers and other members of the UCF community so that they become entirely comfortable with the self-driving experience.

Candidates should have positive energy, enjoy interacting with the public, and want to make a positive contribution to the UCF community.

Job Functions:

· Confidently represent COAST Autonomous and promote the UCF Autonomous Shuttle Project.

· Be a positive, knowledgeable source of information to the UCF community and visitors.

· Communicate clearly and enthusiastically with passengers.

· Perform basic vehicle inspections before and after shuttle operations to ensure that the vehicle continues to operate safely, and its appearance is intact.

· Promptly notify the maintenance department of any vehicles issues that need attention.

· Ensure the readiness and cleanliness of the vehicles, equipment, and workplace.

· Perform basic interior and exterior cleaning of the vehicle.

· Assist with paperwork and documentation related to vehicle readiness.

· Works overtime as required to meet production schedules.

· Regular attendance required.

· Completes any additional assignments as requested by Supervisor.

· Comply with and ensure compliance with all Company policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Requirements:

· Must be friendly and have strong communication skills.

· Must be able to communicate effectively, verbally and non-verbally, in front of small groups.

· Must be a team player who enjoys interacting with the public, students, and other members of the UCF community.

· Must be a quick study and stay current on operational requirements of the equipment.

· Must be punctual and responsible.

· Must maintain a professional appearance and attitude.

· Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.

· Must be able to maintain good relations with riders, colleagues, supervisors, and contractors.

· Must be in good physical condition to perform job functions as outlined above.

· Must be able to visually inspect tools, vehicle, equipment, and/or machines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $12.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Orlando, FL: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
