Pay Range: $15.00 - $18.56/hr.

A Code Compliance Technician job available with the City of Fort Worth in our Code Compliance Department/Solid Waste Division. This position will be primarily responsible for performing recycle cart audits for the Solid Waste Division. The ideal person will be detail oriented, have the ability to multi-task, and possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with customers, contractors, and citizens (customer service).

The Code Compliance Technician job responsibilities include:

• Physical audits of recycle carts.
• Checking recycle carts for compliance with City of Fort Worth program.
• Leaving education material for residents.
• Interaction with customers, communicating program rules.
• May involve removal of non-program items from carts.
• Input of daily audit data into city software system.
• Investigating and identifying contractor and resident issues related to Solid Waste.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma/GED.
• no previous experience required.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Candidate selected for hire must pass Pre-Employment Drug Screen, Physical and Criminal Background check.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience with map reading.
• Basic computer skills and smart phone operations, including taking and sending photos.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Microsoft Outlook & Microsoft Excel).
• Solid Waste Operations.
• Map software experience.
• Customer Service experience.

Physical Demands
