Coil Winder Job at Pennsylvania Transformer Technology
We are looking for second shift (2:15 pm to 10: 45 pm) coil winders. Reading proficiency of a tape measure is a must. Candidate would be trained for atleast 3 weeks in first shift before going to second shift. A winder is responsible for constructing a coil using winding specifications and engineering drawings. Make brazed connections, fabricate crossovers, install cooling ducts, and burn leads with oxygen/acetylene torch. Setup, wind, and dismantle of coil setups (mandrels, wire, de-reelers, etc.), removal, up ending and proper storage of coils upon completion. Record cylinders, wire and coil check sheets as required. Keep work area safe, neat, and clean. Candidate must be self-motivated. Must have experience to operate a forklift. Must be able to pay attention to detail. Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
