Cold Prep Job at LSF QUALITY CONTROL CENTER LLC
Reporting to the Production Manager, the Cold Prep associate is responsible for hands on operations in the production center. Ensures all specifications are produced in the most cost effective manner within our quality control standards. Must be a team player. Must maintain adherence to all sanitation standards and procedures as dictated by local, state and federal authorities and as monitored by the LSF managers and Quality Assurance Department.
- Package the cooked shrimp and wontons to be sent out
- Break down and clean lobsters after they have been cooked
- Prepare wontons and sauces for the Hot Prep associate to cook
- Package all of the bar mixes for the restaurants
- Preps all ingredients that are needed for the days production
- Cleans and sanitizes all kitchen equipment used that day
- Consistently maintain product quality and integrity.
- Ensures adherence to procedures, including GMP requirements, food safety, and plant personnel safety.
- Ensures products are produced according to specifications
- Performs quality control checks to insure standards are met.
- Takes corrective action as necessary on a timely basis and in accordance with company standards, communicating inferior products or procedures.
- Reliable; able to work in a team oriented environment
- Makes sanitation a top priority.
- Must be able to perform duties as assigned and maintain good work habits.
- Must display working knowledge of methods, safety practices, sanitation standards and equipment use.
- Must be respectful of others and the surroundings
- Solid communication skills
- Must work with safety as a priority
- Some high school; GED preferred
- On the job training will be provided
Must be able to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for entire shift. Must have a good sense of balance, be able to lift, bend, kneel, stoop, and wipe. Must be able to frequently lift and carry food, and other items weighing up to 50 pounds. Must be able to tolerate cold temperatures for long periods of time. Must be able to interact verbally and listen attentively to co-workers, managers and supervisors.
