Collection Representative Job at Finova Capital, LLC
GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is primarily responsible for handling both outbound in-bound customer calls regarding accounts that are late on their lease or loan account.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Make and Receive customer phone calls
· Negotiate payment plans and resolutions with an objective of getting the customer current on payment obligations
· Deploy techniques to increase collection rates and lower charge-off rates
· Research accounts in terms of understanding the nature of the delinquency
· Skip tracing abilities using the tools available to find alternative ways to right party contact
· Resolve customer issues/concerns
· Respond to billing inquiries
· Verify pay histories
· Provide and Quote payoffs and permissible settlement processes
· Work with external collection agencies to place and manage late state collections
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS:
· Any other duties within the scope and ability as directed by the Manager.
· Assure a confidential work ethic regarding all company policies, procedures and any pertinent information.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITES:
- This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
SPECIFIC JOB SKILLS:
· Working knowledge of personal computers, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook as well as limited use of the Internet for business purposes.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Organizational skills, accuracy and the ability to prioritize tasks.
· Ability to analyze information and make decisions independently.
· Utilize problem solving skills to complete job responsibilities.
· Relevant background in collections and recovery
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
· 1-2 years customer service experience.
· High School Diploma or its equivalent.
JOB CONDITIONS:
· This position is performed in a non-smoking office environment with the incumbent working area being a modular cubicle.
· This position has high volume workload. Incumbent must be committed to a regular productive work schedule that may fluctuate depending upon caseload assignment.
· Dress code for the office is business casual which will be tasteful, clean and neat, befitting a reasonable person’s definition of business dress. Specific dress may be dictated by events occurring in the office on any given day.
· Overtime may be required before or after regular work hours or on weekends or holidays.
· Adherence to a structured vacation schedule may be required.
· This position requires the incumbent to be able to sit at the assigned work area for extended periods of time.
· Ascentium Capital believes in and operates under the “team” concept; therefore, at times the incumbent may be asked to perform duties other than those listed above in order to lend a helping hand to other workers.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear including in person and over the phone. The employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform as activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; and extensive reading. This is largely a sedentary role, however the employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
