Timber Products Inspection, Inc. is looking for a highly motivated, professional, and dedicated Collections Analyst. The primary function is to ensure Timber Products (TP) receives payments and records transactions accurately and accordingly. Be responsible for reaching out to customers to collect payment for overdue bills or other payments. Will act as the liaison between creditors and customers and manages overdue accounts. This role requires the candidate to be organized and have attention to detail in order to spot issues that may arise. This position reports to the Director of Finance.

Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with customers diligently, courteously, and professionally while collecting payments
  • Initiate strategies for collection processes and procedures
  • Persuade customers diligently to pay past due amounts
  • Respond to customer inquiries in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with accounts receivables staff regarding collection of payments
  • Develop alternative payment plans with help from department manager
  • Create repayment schedules based on customers’ financial situations
  • Retain customer loyalty while initiating processes for collection of payments
  • Maintain and update multiple excel spreadsheets that record collections

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Associate degree in accounting or equivalent experience. Minimum 2 years’ experience in Collections desired
  • Proven discretion and sensitivity to confidential information
  • Proven problem-resolution and decision-making skills
  • Able to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Goal and results oriented
  • Experience supporting multiple departments
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft 365

Education and Experience:
High School or higher is preferred

Physical Requirements:
Standing, Stooping, Walking, Sitting
