Robinson & Co is a growing investment bank looking to expand with the onboarding of ten bankers for the 2023 year. We are seeking individuals who possess the desire to work remotely, using tools and support provided by Robinson & Co. Robinson & Co has high standards, strong team culture, and a commitment to personal development. To this end, books and podcasts are encouraged to be shared among team members. Whether it works out with the company would be separate from the overall goal of encouraging the enrichment of individuals - making you a better person than you were before joining the company. Outside of monies earned from dealmaking, discretionary annual bonuses will be paid out to everyone in the firm based on performance. Commercial Bankers make 30-50% commission earned on all deals closed. We are hiring 1 Commercial Banker in California to start our California practice.
This is NOT an employment offer but full commission, nonsalaried with no caps on your income.

Overview:
As a commercial banker at our loan brokering investment bank, you will be responsible for sourcing and securing finance for clients. You will work with clients to assess their financial needs and goals, and use your expertise and relationships with lenders to secure the most favorable financing terms for them. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and targeting potential clients, as well as building and maintaining relationships with existing clients. You will also be responsible for analyzing market trends and identifying new opportunities for the company to pursue.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and target potential clients who could benefit from the company's finance brokering services. This may involve conducting market research, analyzing data, and building relationships with potential clients.
- Sourcing finance for clients and working with them to determine the most appropriate financing options for their needs. This may include reviewing financial statements, preparing loan packages, and negotiating terms with lenders.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, including conducting regular client meetings and presentations. You will be the primary point of contact for clients and will be responsible for ensuring that their needs are met and their expectations are exceeded.
- Analyzing market trends and identifying new opportunities for the company to pursue. You will be expected to keep abreast of industry developments and to identify potential growth areas for the company.
- Participating in business development activities, including networking events and industry conferences. You will be expected to actively seek out new business opportunities and to represent the company in a professional manner.
- Collaborating with other departments within the company, including the underwriting and closing teams, to ensure a smooth and efficient loan process for clients. You will be expected to work closely with these teams to ensure that deals are closed in a timely manner.
Requirements:
- Strong analytical skills and ability to assess financial risks and opportunities. You should be comfortable working with financial data and be able to identify key trends and patterns.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills. You should be able to clearly and effectively communicate complex financial concepts to clients and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team. You should be able to take ownership of your work and be able to work effectively with others to achieve common goals.
- Strong business development skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with clients. You should be able to identify and pursue new business opportunities and be able to build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
- Experience working with a variety of financing products, including term loans, revolving credit facilities, and structured finance.
