JOB PURPOSE:

Responsible for the management and supervision of the human resource and business office functions at The Residences on the East side in Providence, RI a beautiful Assisted Living community. This position interacts with employees, management, residents and family member to carry out primary responsibilities regarding policy, administration, compliance, and internal and external customer service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Recruitment

  • Conducts recruitment process using the applicant tracking system.
  • Coordinating and participating in interviewing, reference checking, pre-employment background/screening, and offer letters.

Retention

  • Coordinates and participates in new hire onboarding and orientation
  • Serves as specialist in human resources issues, counseling management and employees on policy and procedures.

Administration

  • Responsible for records, reports, maintenance, and administration of applicable systems including ADP Payroll, Benefits, Learning Management and Applicant Tracking
  • Maintains employee files in accordance with regulatory and company standards
  • Coordinates and prepares paperwork for employee separations including unemployment claim/ hearings.
  • Reviews and submits invoices to account payable for administration.
  • Applies our “5 Star” customer service approach in all aspects of the job.

Billing

  • Census/Occupancy reporting.
  • Assist with move in process (sign in, forms, meeting with families).
  • Maintains on-going communication with ED at all times
  • Assures that all pertinent personal and financial information is accurately recorded
  • Bill LTC Insurances
  • Accept payments for rent, tracks and initiates annual increases.
  • Generates accurate bills to residents, families, and responsible parties.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of Wingate’s Collection Policy

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • BA degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 3-5 years HR experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of general HR practices including Federal and State employment law.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality; high degree of accuracy, and sense of urgency.
  • Previous recruitment experience a must.
  • Must have effective communication skills including written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • Advanced level computer skills, including MS Word and Excel; knowledge of PowerPoint, Applicant Tracking and ADP experience helpful
