JOB SUMMARY:
The Bronx District Attorney's Office is seeking well-qualified staff whose diverse backgrounds and professional experience reflect an ability to serve the over 1.4 million members of the Bronx County community and pursue a safer Bronx through fair justice. The Bronx County District Attorney's Office has an opening for an Executive Assistant in the Office of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion (DEI).

This role will support BXDA's DEI mission and commitment to the DA's vision for pursuing justice with integrity. excellence and public service on behalf of the people of our borough. The EA will serve as a valued team member who handles core administrative duties such as scheduling, assistance with programming and event logistics, helping to manage office relationships, updates to Diversity's intranet page and information databases. When needed, the EA will also provide support for special projects undertaken by the Office of Diversity and follow-up with executives and management per team priorities set by the Chief of DEI and Deputy Director of DEI.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Working closely with the Chief and Deputy Director of DEI on confidential and sensitive administrative matters
  • Answering the telephone and troubleshooting with IT
  • Managing and organizing the Diversity team calendar with scheduling requests for internal and external meeting/and events
  • Managing procurement and expenses paperwork
  • Creating Excel spreadsheets, memorandum, bureau rosters, email lists, and reports
  • Ensuring that all correspondence/communications are responded to in a timely and professional manner
  • Database creation and information collection as needed on guest speakers for DEI programs, MWBE vendors, DEI thought leaders and organizations
  • Updating the DEI intranet page
  • Assignment to Special projects and all other duties as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
A baccalaureate degree is preferred, and three (3) years of relevant administrative experience or an Associate Degree and five (5) years of relevant administrative experience

  • Prior administrative experience working in collaborative and purpose-driven environment
  • Candidate must have excellent organizational, follow-up, and time-management skills
  • A strong interest in diversity, equity and inclusion
  • Strong proficiency in Outlook, Excel, and Adobe, (MS TEAMS and ZOOM)
  • Familiarity with processing procurement and expenses paperwork
  • Familiarity with New York City agencies, community stakeholders, and public service settings
  • Strong collaborative and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment in a steady, thoughtful manner
