- Oversee after-school programming by recruiting and interacting with providers, ensuring the proper agreements are in place and reviewing programming placement for equitable access to our students
- Recruit, engage, and maintain successful community partners and volunteers to serve in district
- Provide assistance to individual schools to strengthen and engage community partnerships and volunteers
- Provide OKCPS donor policy and guidelines to current and potential donors
- Ensure OKCPS Board policies and procedures are followed for donation acceptance
- Manage community partner and volunteer databases.
- Research of community partnership and volunteer programs to cultivate overall best practices involving partnerships in schools.
- Provide quality support and communication between schools, community partners, volunteers and OKCPS staff
- Manage small scale event planning and in-kind donations for community, staff, and students
- Coordinate district-wide community events, and special projects
- Manage and coordinate internal fundraising campaigns
- Collaborate alongside Foundation for OKCPS on district initiatives, as directed by Director of Strategic Planning & Partnerships
- Plan and prioritize daily activities.
- Promote overall effectiveness of the organization's efforts by performing tasks and sharing responsibilities of other members of the department during peak periods or overload of duties.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree in community or public relations, public administration, marketing, education or related field.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience with volunteer management & working with community organizations.
- Extremely strong organizational, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to prioritize work, outline steps necessary to complete a project and the flexibility to handle several ongoing projects at once.
- Must possess strong customer service, interpersonal, & communication skills.
- Ability to work across diverse backgrounds both professionally and culturally.
- Excellent at relationship building.
- Extremely detail oriented.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Bilingual ability both oral and written in English and Spanish.
- Strongly prefer that the candidate have a deep understanding of the OKC community and partnerships.
- Experience working in the field of education or non-profit helpful, but not required.
- Experience with after-school programming helpful.
- Must have adequate manual dexterity to write legibly and perform required duties on the computer.
- Must have adequate visual acuity to read, interpret and transcribe written material and other required duties.
- Requires normal range of hearing and clear speaking abilities to interact appropriately with others in person and on the telephone.
- Requires some stooping, bending, stretching and occasional lifting not to exceed 25 pounds.
- Sitting for prolonged periods of time.
- May periodically require work outside of normal business hours, including weekends, under sometimes. stressful conditions in order to meet business needs and strict deadlines.
- Office duties will be performed in a well-lighted, climate controlled environment.
- Will require time in office, as well as external meeting locations with community partners or schools throughout the OKC metro area.
- May require participation in meetings and activities outside of normal business hours, including weekends and holidays.
- May be required to work overtime and weekends and holidays.
- Able to bend and stoop, lift 25lbs, stand and/or sit for extended periods of time.
