Job Title: Competitive Gymnastics Coach

Part-time / Full-time:

• Full-time and part-time positions available
• Must be available after 4PM on week days
• Saturday hours required

General Job Description:

Gymnastic Spectrum is seeking motivated, energetic, outgoing individuals to join our team of coaches working with our competitive gymnasts. Applicants should be responsible, have strong communication skills, and enjoy coaching children. Applicants must enjoy working in a fast paced and active environment as well as using positive coaching techniques to help progress strength, flexibility, and skill development in each athlete. In addition to working with the competitive teams, coaches would be expected to teach recreational classes throughout the week as well.

Availability requirements for interested applicants would be afternoon / evenings Monday - Friday and afternoon on Saturday.

Qualifications:

• Must work well with and enjoy kids
• Good reputation and character
• Personal accountability including punctuality and reliability
• Exhibits drive with energy and enthusiasm
• Enjoys working in an active environment
• Curiosity and willingness to learn from and share knowledge with coworkers in a team-oriented environment
• Previous gymnastics experience required
• Background check performed prior to employment

Primary Responsibilities:

• Maintain a safe, fun and productive class environment
• Teach gymnastics shapes, skills, and routines
• Safely spot students through gymnastics drills and skills (Training will be provided)
• Develop knowledge of students in class to implement appropriate drills and exercises that drive progress
• Track class attendance
• Communicate effectively with students, families, and coworkers
• Help maintain a clean facility
• Attend all scheduled hours
