WHAT YOU WILL DO EVERYDAY:

The Complex Director of Human Resources will have the pleasure of creating the culture for two great properties, the Doubletree by Hilton Columbus Downtown and the Sheraton Hotel Columbus at Capital Square. Your daily activities will include coordinating and directing the Human Resource function at both hotels, creating a welcoming environment to attract, retain, develop and motivate new and existing Team Members. Ensure that all our Team Members are treated with care and kindness and in accordance with policies/procedures while promoting a safe, fair and positive work environment. Other duties include coaching, counseling, training, new hire orientations, maintaining personnel files, and oversee all employee relations and labor related matters as they relate to federal and state laws.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
  • Bachelor's degree or minimum 4 years HR experience, prior hotel experience preferred
  • Strong and effective communication skills
  • Confident understanding of Human Resource laws and policies
  • Ability to communicate effectively with the public and other Team Members
  • Ability to remain flexible and adapt to an environment of constant change
  • Strong employment law, recruiting and retention background
  • Experience with Affirmative Action helpful
  • Ability to manage a diversified workforce
  • Demonstrates a high degree of confidentiality
