The Position:

Primarily responsible for implementing and delivering the Nomura Risk Assessment framework in the Americas. Conduct the annual Americas' Compliance Risk Assessment. Oversee and support the day-to-day execution of the compliance risk assessment program. Work in close collaboration with senior-compliance management, business-facing Compliance staff, Compliance SMEs, Legal and front-line business partners to ensure the effective and timely completion of compliance risk assessments. Conduct periodic compliance monitoring and testing of certain key risk areas.

Responsibilities:

  • Leadership of the execution of the compliance risk assessment program
  • Oversee a team in identifying and assessing compliance risk and controls
  • Execute testing programs and supervise the work of others

Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience within financial services preferably within banking industry
  • 3+ years of risk assessment or testing experience
  • Ability to analyse data across risk assessments to identify trends and ensure consistency
  • Strong project management, organization, and time management skills
  • Independent thinker as well as a team player with strong analytic skills
  • Proficiency in technical, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to build relationships both internally and externally
  • Bachelor's degree required
