Position Title:

Compliance Specialist

Immediate Supervisor:

CEO

Salary Range:

55k-65k

Position Summary:

Compliance Specialist will be responsible for ensuring that all policies and procedures relating to safety, certifications, along with compliance training is maintained for CAADC. Compliance Specialist will assist with mitigating risks by ensuring business operations are performed in compliance with state and federal laws. Compliance Specialist are tasked with everything from developing and creating metrics to help track compliance and performing compliance audits. They must also continue studying state and federal laws and ensure that the organization conducts business according to new regulations that arise.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Monitor and assess compliance-related risks with respect to business activities and processes, and identify opportunities for programmatic improvements
• Assemble and analyze compliance and risk-related data and statistics; create and disseminate reports.
• Provide expert knowledge on laws and regulations on a federal, state, and local level. Knowledge includes licensing and other non-profit related compliance matters.
• Create and roll out trainings/workshops related to compliance and risk assessment.
• Develop a process to ensure the timely submittal of necessary filings and registrations.
• Continue to stay abreast on any changes within compliance requirements and utilize the necessary services to do so.
• Review policies and procedures across compliance & risk and update as necessary.
• Identify key audit risk areas, design overall audit approach and provide potential conclusions to CEO and Senior Management.
• Ensure grant-based activities are allocated from their assigned expenditure and yield expected deliverables on time, on budget.
• Other duties as required.

Position Objectives:

• At least three years of previous work experience relating to risk, compliance, etc.
• The analytical skills necessary to plan, design, and/or enhance organization-wide systems for tracking compliance activities.
• Outstanding interpersonal, organizational and communication skills to drive complex processes to conclusion by working across departmental lines.
• The ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and provide empathy in difficult interpersonal situations.
• Proven track record of working quickly while maintaining work integrity

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree with excellent academic credentials. Advanced Degree a plus.

The person in this position must have 1-3 years in project coordination, implementation, account management, or similar role. In addition, the person in this position must be highly organized, accurate, and detail-oriented, and have the ability to effectively prioritize work and multitask in a rapidly evolving environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
