Job Description
The Compliance Lead is responsible for executing a variety of internal audit activities and carrying out field audits at the direction of the Compliance Manager. The Compliance Lead will report to the Plant Manager and will work very closely with the Compliance Manager and must be comfortable working in a matrixed environment. The Compliance Lead will provide office services by implementing administrative systems, procedures, and policies. Additionally, the Compliance Lead will monitor and assist with administrative and compliance projects as directed.
Role and Responsibilities
- Performs substantive audit and analytical procedures of processes and systems.
- Evaluates financial and operational risks and controls at field and corporate office locations.
- Assists in the implementation of compliance initiatives of overall business process within assigned facilities.
- Ensures locations are sending out accurate and timely reports.
- Prepares documentation to support conclusions and recommendations.
- Engages Compliance Manager to discuss audit results, compliance issues, and training needs.
- Completes daily, weekly and monthly reporting to include but not limited to productions, inventory reconciliation, and shipping/receiving
- Resolves administrative issues by coordinating the creation of reports, analyzing data, and recommending viable solutions
- Facilitates operational requirements by scheduling and completing administrative projects
- Maintains supply inventory by keeping abreast of inventory needs, placing orders in a timely manner, and verifying receipt of supplies
Qualifications
- Adherence to audit plan.
- Overall impact on organization through relationship building and going the extra mile to improve processes.
- Overall impact on CHEP Services locations in regards to compliance and training.
- Time management and resource decisions
- Effectiveness of control tests.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-3 years of auditing experience (preferred).
- Strong computer skills (MS Office Suite)
- Previous Office Manager experience
- 1-2 years analysing data and formulating recommendations
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- Strong analytical & problem solving skills
- Project management skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Intermediate or advanced level of knowledge of Excel, Power Point, and WordAll newly hired individuals are promptly screened through the E-Verify electronic employment authorization program run by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service. EOE. D/M/F/V. MUST be 18 years of age
