What you’ll do

Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the all-electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace.

This is a hybrid role. At Scout we believe strongly in the power of in person collaboration to build culture, solve problems and drive innovation. You can expect a mix of remote and in person work based on role requirements.

The essence of this role is to:

• Assist in the development of concept architecture and vehicle integration for Scout all-electric pick-up trucks and rugged SUVs
• Be a part of the vision of engineering excellence & source of knowledge
• Critically review available technical systems and propose an engineering improvement &/or customer experience
• Design & create with collaboration, a simulation environment that allows the system architecture, concepts & ideas to be put to test for other systems engineers to utilize
• Liaise with the styling team to propose technical input
• Partner with other concept & systems architect teams to come up with solution to engineering & functional challenges
• Creating prototype architectures for physical and computer verification & stress testing
• Be involved other related tasks / activities as required

What you’ll bring

• Relevant degree such as bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Technology, or Engineering Technology from an accredited college or university, preferably in electrical engineering
• 5+ years of experience in Concept engineering, specifically with concept lead platforms/variants, module selection and modification; in the automotive industry is desired
• Expert knowledge of the US legal and governance systems (federal & state), including detailed knowledge of regulatory authorities with jurisdiction over the automobile industry & safety regulations
• Motivated engineer wanting to work at the cutting edge of electric vehicle technical design, enjoy hands-on testing
• Strong interpersonal skills including ownership, self-motivated, problem solving, analytical, team player, innovative, creative, communication skills and ability to develop & mutually thrive in working relationships
• Proven ability to work in a truly cross-functional and global environment
