Concrete Finisher Job at Hardhat Workforce Solutions
HardHat Workforce Solutions is seeking experienced Form Carpenters for new construction work in the North Charleston, SC area.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work using all PPE and strictly adhering to all safety policies.
- Plan, lay-out, and use appropriate hand & power tools to properly measure, cut, assemble, and install forms, rebar, embeds and anchor bolts according to specifications for molding concrete structures.
- Erect built-in-place forms - assemble and install prefabricated forms up to 15” high.
- Assist in pouring and finishing concrete.
- Assist removing forms after concrete has dried.
- Assist tying rebar for forms.
- Remove rough or defective spots from concrete surfaces using power grinder or chisel and hammer.
- Maintain, repair and use skill saws, miter saws, table saws, routers, caulking guns, pneumatic tools and compressors.
- If you have prior knowledge of water treatment and containment construction in a Wastewater environment, that would be a plus.
REQUIREMENTS
- Two years minimum of commercial/industrial construction experience.
- Able to read blueprints.
- Mathematical and analytical skills.
- Be organized to plan the sequence of work.
- Able to use carpentry tools such as hand saws, electric saws and drills
- To have a good eye for details and be able to check that the work is level, plumb and square.
