JOB DEFINITION: Takes the initiative to ensure tasks are completed and customer services is provided on the conference team according to the contract. Reviews room capabilities with current technology and government trends to suggest ideas/equipment that can improve functionality of the rooms. Offers proposed equipment recommendation when requested by G6 customer. Takes initiative with very little direction from Program Manager to get things completed. This individual is responsible for day to day leadership to ensure that conference
events are covered and conference rooms are functioning properly. Must be able to communicate effectively with high ranking officials and VIPs on a daily basis and at offsite events.

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES: The Conference Team Task Lead is responsible for leading a small team of VTC facilitators who support the scheduling/facilitation and technical capabilities of several conference rooms. Ensures rooms are functioning properly. Upon request, prepares recommendations to the government on purchases for improved performance in the conference rooms. Maintains schedule for the team to ensure coverage to support all events.
Works independently under overall project objectives and requirements; apprises Program Manager about progress and unusual complications. Work is reviewed for accuracy of judgment, compliance with instructions, and to insure proper alignment. Guidelines usually include existing systems and the constraints imposed by related systems with which the incumbent's work must be meshed. Adapts design approaches successfully used in precedent systems. Completed work is reviewed for timeliness, compatibility with other work, and effectiveness in meeting requirements.
The Video Teleconference Technician operates a multitude of audio and video teleconferencing equipment. Operational tasks include but are not limited to initializing facility equipment,
controlling audio environments, remote camera operation and presentation controls. Must operate both secure and non-secure facilities. Operate and\or assist in operating facilities with and without
touch panel integration. Must be familiar with conference room design and Crestron
programming.
Installation and operation of video teleconference equipment, troubleshooting of LAN based and ISDN based audio and video end-points. On-site technical support during video teleconference calls. Perform test connections and dry-runs. Provide customer training on new installations. Prepare written documents for user training and operational guides and checklists.
Strong understanding of videoconferencing, audiovisual presentations, and collaboration technology required. Familiarity with both Dial-up (Switched) and Dedicated Subscriber Facilities. Knowledge of Multi-point Conference switching modes; Voice activated, Lecture, Chair Control and Continuous Presence.
Responsible for the operation of complex state-of-the-art cryptologic equipment, to include the management and control of the classified keying materials and operation and maintenance of the secure command and control video teleconferencing systems.
The employee will also perform remote network management functions utilizing proprietary software to resolve operational problems throughout the network. The Task Lead will resolve network connectivity and interoperability communications problems by utilizing state-of-the-art software tools and diagnostics.
Provide operation, hardware and software maintenance, oversight, coordination, documentation, reporting and management for video teleconferencing systems, facilities and networks. Monitor the performance of video teleconferences in order to correct any problems that may arise, e.g. loss of video, loss of audio, or disconnects.
Schedule, change and cancel VTCs using the DISN Video Services on-line reservations and scheduling system. Coordinates with internal departments and external sites by reviewing and evaluating requirements and recommends facilities based on specific requirements.
Provide site logistic functions and inventory.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: Conducting Preventive Checks and Services and providing technical oversight.
Performs other duties as assigned or required.
KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS:
CERTIFICATIONS/REGISTRATION/LICENSING: Must provide verifiable proof of equipment specific training (Certificate of Training). Security+ ce is required.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Required to work outside the traditional work schedule. This includes off site and after hour events.
SECURITY CLEARANCE: The candidate will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information by possessing or obtaining and maintaining a U.S. Secret Security Clearance.

KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS:
- Knowledge of applicable computer system software programs and MS Office
- Knowledge on assisting with Video Teleconferences.
- Knowledge is strong in problem research and resolution skills for troubleshooting hardware issues.

- Familiarity with crypto devices including TACLANE, KIV-7m and KG-194
- A demonstrated knowledge in the testing of equipment, devices, components, systems and methodologies.
- Familiarity with A/V systems including cameras, displays, and echo cancellation systems used for audio and video conferencing.
- A demonstrated knowledge of and experience with Department of Defense (DOD)
- Current and continuous experience in the field of telecommunications and operations in large-scale voice, video teleconferencing, secure switching, transmission and data networks.
- Familiarity with AMX control systems
- Knowledge of Crestron units and programming.
- The employee is required to possess a level of experience and proficiency to perform moderate to complex technical end-to-end testing of US Military Command, Control and Communications (C3) Video Teleconferencing (VTC) Circuits
- Skill in working independently, multitasking, prioritizing projects, and meeting deadlines.
- Skill in using analytical and research skills in performance of job duties.
- Demonstrate high-end customer service skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
