CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGERs - Temporary employment Job will start on October 1st, 2022 to December 31st, 2025.

PAY RATE IS: $40.00 per hour

DUTIES: Under general supervision of Chief of PEM, (Planning, Engineering & Maintenance), plans, coordinates, develops schedules and monitors construction projects for the Division of Natural Resources,
State Parks Section. Incumbents will manage/coordinate major new construction as well as maintenance and renovation projects for a State Park owned or operated facilities. Responsible for management of all
phases of the project from planning and development phases through project completion. Simultaneously manages multiple and on-going projects. Oversees the development of project definition and scope; determines maximum cost effectiveness among alternatives; plans, maintains and adjusts project
schedules; with consultation of Chief of PEM, determines the level of engineering and technical services needed and assures that all necessary technical and other required agency reviews are completed.
Ensures projects are compliant with applicable state and federal program requirements. Represents the agency at public meetings, hearings or discussions with public officials or other state and federal
agencies. Assists Chief of PEM and other Engineers as directed in general planning and reporting.

Prepares monthly reports in a concise manner on projects assigned and edits others reports for use by Chief of PEM. Prepares and tracks purchasing documents as they are processed, reporting problems, and implementing solutions. Tracks funding for projects and reports monthly to Chief of PEM. Work is performed in office and field settings; frequent statewide travel is required. Preference may be given to applicants with significant experience and understanding of the State Purchasing process. Performs
related work as required.

Training: Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited four-year college or university. Preference
may be shown to applicants possessing a bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
Substitution: Experience as described below may be substituted for the required training on a year for
year basis.
Experience: Four years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in building or infrastructure
construction, including two years of building or infrastructure construction project management involving interpretation of plans and specifications, project cost estimation, contract compliance and construction period estimation.
