TITLE: Building Construction Superintendent
DESCRIPTION: Commercial/industrial building general contractor is seeking experienced construction superintendents willing to travel for challenging opportunities throughout the United States. Projects will include fast-paced schedules in industrial and retail settings for an established client base. The ideal candidate will demonstrate experience as an independent manager of construction projects with limited direct supervision from the home office. Experience in commercial, industrial, and pharmaceutical building construction is a plus, as is experience with national retail construction. Travel is a requirement for this position, with anticipated project durations ranging from three months to one year.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Overall responsibility for individual project success through daily management of on site construction activities.
Coordinate, schedule, and oversee work of numerous subcontractors across all disciplines of the building trades. Mechanical and electrical knowledge will be especially beneficial in this role.
Engage local subcontractors and suppliers in regions that may be new to the company, qualifying the sources as appropriate to service the project requirements.
Communicate daily and weekly progress to the home office via daily reporting and schedule updates using modern construction apps.
SKILLS: Experience with construction computer applications for scheduling, project management, and cost accounting.
Experience with common office computer applications, including email, word processing, and spreadsheets.
COMPENSATION: Competitive salary, commensurate with experience. Include salary request with resume.
Lodging and per diem applicable when working from jobsites requiring overnight stays.
