Job Description Summary
Consultants in the Strategy area are responsible for leading and managing small projects and portions of larger projects to meet the needs of internal and external clients on strategic issues for the Blue Cross Blue Shield System. The types of projects can range from board work, strategic planning, strategic counsel to internal stakeholders, as well as consulting work for our 34 member health Plans. Consultants are responsible for applying analytical rigor (e.g., data collection and analysis) and executing primary and secondary research. The synthesis and integration of analytical and research work into final deliverables is also a key responsibility. This role will function collaboratively contributing to team discussions, iterating through content, and positively impacting team culture.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Conduct secondary research on a range of key topics and issues and distill relevant findings for projects (in either MS word or pat).
- Support Executive interviews (primary research) through detailed note taking and distillation of notes into relevant findings for projects (in either MS word or pat).
- Execute analytics frameworks that could forecast market sizes, financial projections, ROIs, and/or other quantitative market trends that are relevant for projects (e.g., Excel, Tableau, SAS, etc.).
- Present own work to leadership with confidence, conviction and poise. Demonstrate strong communication skills.
Required Education, Certifications and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree In related field
- Related business and/or healthcare experience (i.e., analytical, problem solving, primary / secondary research, communications, team based, etc.)

- Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills to contribute to hypothesis development and integration
- Ability to generate actionable insights from analytical work
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to make presentations to internal staff members and broader audiences as appropriate
- Strong relationship building and influence skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently
- Strong record of academic and professional achievement
- Familiarity with health insurance industry and concepts highly desirable
