About the Job

We are currently searching for a content writer. Within this role, you’ll assist in the creation of optimized websites, engaging social media posts, effective email marketing campaigns, and more. As a content writer, you will have the following responsibilities:

• Research client industries through reputable sources, studies, and online articles

• Write clear and concise copy for websites, blogs, emails, social media, and many other mediums

• Review and edit existing content for spelling, grammar, tone, and accuracy

• Collaborate with web designers to develop aesthetically pleasing and user-friendly websites

• Work alongside SEO specialists to develop engaging and SEO-friendly content

• Interview and speak to clients about their business and industry

• Design marketing materials such as videos, posters, emails, business cards, social media banners, and more

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, or another related field

• 1 - 3 years of experience in content writing or a related position

• Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills

• Excellent understanding of spelling and grammar rules

• Basic understanding of SEO guidelines

• Capable of following a style guide to ensure consistency

• Capable of communicating clearly through written and oral forms

• Work well in a creative, collaborative team and independently

• Able to meet strict deadlines set by clients and other team members

• Portfolio showcasing related work

Bonus points if you check off any of the following:

• Experience with video editing, graphic design, and other visual elements

• Experience with WordPress or another CMS

• Understanding of social media best practices for Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and more

• Basic knowledge of HTML and/or CSS

• Experience with Asana, HubSpot, Cloudways, SocialPilot, or LocalViking
