Currently seeking an ENTRY LEVEL Continuous Improvement Engineer to work within the CI/Engineering group of our large industrial facility located in the Greater Charleston, SC Metropolitan area. · The CI Specialist is accountable to aid in the development, implementation and sustaining process improvement initiatives utilizing Lean and Six Sigma methodologies through the company's continuous improvement process to meet yearly financial goals and business objectives. The ideal candidate for this role will be a new college grad with a four-year engineering/engineering technology degree and some exposure to continuous improvement (Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, etc...) either from academics or coop/internship assignments.

Responsibilities:

• Chartering the roadmap for the company to be an engaged Lean Enterprise & Digitalization Transformation
• Deliver long-term, breakthrough results in the areas of safety, quality, delivery, and cost-effectiveness through the engagement of the workforce
• Drive the development and implementation of continuous improvement projects/process consistent with and in support of the strategic plan and business operating plan
• Assist in designing new procedures and methods for operational processes, by utilizing project charters with deliverables
• Will work with site leaders to identify, modify, and sustain desired changes in both methods and process
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, problem-solving and improvement ideas
• Lead projects and initiatives from idea generation to execution, utilizing Project Management methodology
• Mentor employees to realize benefits from all continuous improvement initiatives and act as a change agent to the site/organization
• Develop and conduct lean training based on the site lean training initiatives
• Facilitate multi-day kaizen events & workshops with cross-functional teams ranging from operations to executive leaders

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Engineering Technology
• Exposure to Continuous Improvement / Lean / Six Sigma efforts and enabling efficiency, effectiveness, and tangible financial benefit
• Must be a self-starter with excellent organizational skills in planning and organizing to handle multiple tasks concurrently
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
