Our manufacturing company is seeking a Controller with a proven track record in accounting and financial management. The ideal candidate will have experience in Portland, OR, and a deep understanding of manufacturing and GAAP principles. We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, analytical and has a passion for process improvement. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all accounting and financial reporting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll
  • Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements
  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial information
  • Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support business decisions
  • Manage the ERP and MRP systems to ensure accurate inventory management and cost accounting
  • Lead the annual audit process and work with external auditors to ensure compliance with audit requirements
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to streamline accounting and financial reporting activities

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in a controller or similar role in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting requirements
  • Experience with ERP and MRP systems, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
